12:22 21.09.2012
Day News
British media outlet BBC is actively covering events in Georgia. This time it publishes a new article with the following headline: “Interior minister Akhalaia quites”.

In the long article states that the minister said he felt "moral and political responsibility" that the practice of torture had not been eradicated from Georgia's jails.

BBC notes once again, President Mikheil Saakashvili has suspended the country's entire prison staff, saying that police will be deployed in their place.

“Mr Tugushi, described by the president as a "very strong critic" of the prisons system, has promised a complete overhaul of the system”, - the media outlet reports.
