The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia officially states that none of the 11 individuals liquidated during the special operation is the citizen of Georgia. 
“Some of the issues with regards to Lopota special operation are in the process of investigation. I can assure you that 11 individuals liquidated by us are not Georgian citizens. Although the reaction of the Georgian state against any citizen that moves on the territory of Georgia with arms, kidnaps people and takes them as hostages, ignores legal demands of police and kills officers of Interior and Defense Ministries, will be the same. In case if the similar fact takes place in the future Georgian state will respond analogically in order to protect and ensure the safety of people living in Georgia”, - is said in the statement of Shota Khizanishvili, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
