According to the statement of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia will have one of the best health-care systems throughout Europe.

President made statement about this while opening a new hospital in Gurjaani.  

According to Saakashvili, only building a hospital is not enough. Retraining and qualification of doctors is also very important.

“I know that not everyone has an insurance policy yet, however, everyone who need it, should have it. The old situation, when there was no other choice but to go in Tbilisi even for basic things, is in the past now. People were living in injustice before, but now the new health-care system cares for the idea of justice firs of all. Today the hospitals are available for all working person,” – Saakashvili said.     

According to the president, such type of hospital that was opened in Gurjaani, was only few in Tbilisi before.
