According to assessments of Interior Ministry Vano Merabishvili, if  Vladimir Sanakoev started caring about full integration of the occupied territories to Georgia again, the government would welcome him back to his country.

As the Minister said on the government hour, Georgian side always actively works for carrying out Georgian policy on the occupied territories.

He said, Sanakoev was playing a positive role at certain stages and was fighting against Kokoity regime.

“I want to say that we always work actively for carrying out Georgian policy on the occupied territories. Sanakoev was playing a positive role at certain stages and was fighting against Kokoity regime. If, tomorrow or after tomorrow, he decides to return to this work and continue his activities for full integration of the occupied territories to Georgia, we will still give him this opportunity with pleasure, despite his background and the past,” – he added.
