A trial of Sopho Nikolashvili, reporter of newspaper “Kakhetis Khma” (“Voice of Kakheti”) will be held in Gurjaani regional court today. 

The detained journalist was accused of premeditated murder attempt and carrying a gun illegally. 

The pretrial hearing of this case was held on March 9, where defendant’s attorney requested a study of the evidences presented.   

Today, the main trail is scheduled at 13:00.

We will recall you, that 20-years-old journalist Sopho Nikolashvili was arrested on January 31. She is accused of premeditated murder attempt of internal affairs Ministry’s Kakheti main regional department inspector-investigator, Giorgi Sibashvili and also, is charged for illegal possession of weapon.
