Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow will visit Georgia with an
official two-day visit.
NATO
Deputy Secretary General will take part in conference of Defence and Security
of Georgia planned in Batumi.
Within
the visit, Vershbow will also hold meetings with high representatives of
Georgian government, including Parliament Speaker David Bakradze and various
groups of civil society.
“This visit is a continuation of Georgia-NATO
cooperation and quite successful Chicago
summit”, - Jalaghania said.
According to him, in the frameworks of the visit, talks will be hold regarding
participation of Georgia
in ISAF program. Role of Georgian peacekeepers in Afghanistan operations will be also
discussed, including after 2014.
