Archaeologists have unearthed a skeleton in Florence, which may be the body of Mona Lisa.

“It could be a crucial step towards unravelling the mystery of the woman with the world's most enigmatic smile”, -BBC reports.

Art historian Silvano Vinceti said, now they are entering the heart of this search, which is the most important moment.

The bones were discovered during the excavations carried out in the St. Ursula’s Catholic Church in Florence.
