Residents of Kakheti met the convoy of Georgian militaries with ovations (Video)

Local population farewelled Georgian soldiers leaving Kakheti region after the recovery works. Residents of Kakheti met the convoy moving on the highway with ovations. The cleaning and rehabilitation works in the disaster zone has completed today.

According to the information of the Defence Ministry of Georgia, the representatives of Georgian Armed Forces left the disaster zone after the President of Georgia greeted them. Mikheil Saakashvili personally thanked those soldiers who played an important role in the recovery works.

Mikheil Saakashvili briefed on the importance of the rehabilitation works carried out by the Georgian military servicemen and highlighted: “No man got left behind in peace or in war. You are the guarantee of stability and our country is based on your force”.

About 2000 representatives of Georgian Defence Ministry will return to their permanent military bases from now.
