Day News
The U.S. Embassy was evacuated in central Oslo when a suspicious item was found beneath a car trying to enter the compound, but a search turned up nothing harmful, - Norway police said.

"We found and examined a suspicious package placed under the car at the embassy, which turned out to be harmless," police said. "Everything has returned to normal."

The law enforcers started evacuation of the population from the embassy and the Royal Palace surrounding area at noon. There was a signal alarming about possible existence of a bomb at the U.S. embassy. The field engineers arrived at the scene. For security measures, an important part of the capital was free from people.
