The so-called, Foreign Ministry of Tskhinvali
separatist regime spreads a statement, where it rejects existence of any
negotiations regarding restoration of OSCE mission in Georgian-South Ossetian
conflict zone.
“On May 15, the newspaper “Vzgliad” reported about
the statement, which was made by OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Human Rights
Committee Chairman Matteo Mecacci, about OSCE’s plan to restore its mission in
Georgian-Osseitan conflict zone in July. The statement caused indignation in
Tskhinvali region. In Tskhinvali region, they heard nothing about this decision
of OSCE, as there was no appeal, nor any negotiations with the South Ossetia government is underway” – is said in the
statement.
The so-called Foreign Ministry of the puppet
regime states, that after Georgian aggression in 2008 and the “international
recognition” of the region, no Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone exists, but we
just have to deal with unregulated relations between the two “neighboring
states”. “Therefore, it is unclear where is Mr. Matteo
Mecacci going to place the mission” – the statement says.
There is also an explanation, that after 2008
August, “there could not and does not work South Ossetia’s
old mandate, but the new mandate does not exist yet. Although, there are
serious complaints regarding OSCE Mission’s activities and its position, the South Ossetia has appealed to the leadership of OSCE not
once for discussing future relations foreseeing the emerging realities after
2008 August and recognition of the Republic. However, no positive reaction has
been seen from this international organization so far. The authorities of South
Ossetia repeatedly stated that we are ready to cooperate with all those
international organizations that demonstrates respect towards South Ossetian
people and the existed political reality” – is said in the statement of the
separatists.
