Moscow starts inspection of occupation bases

Commander of Russian Land Forces will inspect the 4th and the 7th Russian bases located in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region.     

Vladimir Chirkin will arrive in Tskhinvali and Dzau region, where military unites are placed, he will observe their combat trainings, check the principles of recruitment of personnel, weapons' conditions and the issue of provision of material means.

As the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry reports, the inspection is carried out “in connection with the 20th anniversary of the appearance of Russian troops in Georgia-South Ossetian conflict zone for maintaining peace”.
