Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Nino Kalandadze, responds on statement made by Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry regarding position of Karl Bildt.

According to Kalandadze’s assessments, statements made by the Russian side are attempts of interfering in the internal affairs of the state.

“I do not think that they could have any different expectation from our European and American counterparts. However, it should be noted that criticism made by them, is undoubtedly another attempt to fumble in our country’s internal politics, to be involved and take part in leading our country’s destiny”, - Kalandadze said.

We will recall you that statements of Swedish Foreign Affairs Minister regarding parliamentary elections in Georgia were followed by Russia’s irritation. Lukashevich said that they will demand explanations from Bildt while his visit to Moscow. Head of Swedish Foreign Affairs Ministry calls strange to the mood of one part of the Georgian opposition.
