Day News

According to the estimations of Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister, Nino KIalandadze, the issue of legitimacy of the term “occupied” used regarding the occupied territories of Georgia has never been called into question and never will be either.

As Kalandadze said today at the traditional briefing, the processes that are going on the territories of Georgia fully meet the criteria of the occupation.

“The issue of legitimacy of using the term “occupation” will never be called into question. The term “occupation” means that enemy’s army is on the territory of a sovereign state and this area is completely or partially controlled by them. The processes that are happening on the territories of Georgia fully meet the criteria of the occupation”, - Kalandadze said.     =

We will recall you that Russia plans to raise the question of the legality of using the term “occupation” during the Geneva negotiations.
