Cornelia Pieper: relations between Georgia and Germany are developing dynamically

According to the assessments of German Federal Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs – Cornelia Pieper, relations between Georgia and Germany are developing dynamically. 

Pieper said it after the meeting with the Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze. 

According to the statement of Cornelia Pieper, Germany was the first country, which recognized independence of Georgia.

“I am glad that I am visiting Georgia on 20 anniversary of establishment of diplomatic communications between our countries. Germany was the first country, which recognized independence of Georgia. I am also glad that relations between our countries are developing dynamically,” – Cornelia Pieper said.   

German Deputy Foreign Minister will leave Georgia tomorrow. In the frameworks of the visit, Cornelia Pieper is going to meet with Georgian Minister of Education and Science – Dimitri Shashkin too.
