According to the information of the Ministry, during their meeting, the two discussed various issues concerning bilateral and multilateral co-operation between their two countries, focusing on the prospect of further developing economic relations and on possible directions for co-operation within the framework of international organizations.

Also the two parties discussed the urgency of the need to perfect the legal basis for relations between their two countries with a view to enhancing bilateral relations in various spheres and to simplifying the movement of their citizens.

Mr. Vashadze and Mr. Haxhinasto also discussed the current situation in the region as well as regional security. While discussing issues of mutual interest with regard to preparing for the NATO Summit in Chicago, Mr. Haxhinasto reaffirmed his government's support for both Georgia's territorial integrity and integration with NATO.
