Gioergi Baramidze holds final preparatory negotiations for the forthcoming NATO Chicago summit
The
Vice-Prime Minister Giorgi Baramidze holds bilateral meetings in NATO
headquarters for the forthcoming NATO Chicago summit’s final preparatory
negotiations.
In
November of this year, NATO Military Committee – the highest military authority
of NATO, will visit Georgia.
It became known during the meeting of Georgian Vice-Prime Minister Giorgi
Baramidze and the Chairman of NATO military Committee, General Knud Bartels.
Within
the visit, Giorgi Baramidze hold a meeting with the NATO Deputy Secretary General in the field of new threats
Gabor Iklod, Deputy Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Kolinda Grabar, NATO
Secretary General’s Special Representative for Caucasus and Central Asia James
Appathuria.
In a different format, meetings
were also hold with the permanent representatives of France, the USA,
Lithuania, Czech Republic, Poland, Greece, Canada, Latvia, Bulgaria and Turkey
in NATO, where on the final stage of NATO’s Chicago summit preparatory
negotiations, it was discussed how Georgia will be presented in the summit
meeting formats and final documentation contents.
After
the meetings Giorgi Baramidze expressed his satisfaction and noted that these
consultations have been developed in direction preferred for our country and
will bring positive results.
