NATO Deputy Secretary General, Alexander Varshbow will arrive in
Georgia with an official visit. The information about it was spread by the
Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia David Jalagonia on briefing held today.
According to the representative of the Ministry, Varshbow will visit
the State on June 28-29. He will participate in the conference on security,
which is planned in Batumi.
“This visit is a continuation of Georgia-NATO cooperation and quite
successful Chicago summit”, - Jalaghania said.
According to him, in the frameworks of the visit, talks will be hold
regarding participation of Georgia in ISAF program. Role of Georgian
peacekeepers in Afghanistan operations will be also discussed, including after
2014.
