In the NDI-published report, the introduction of Must Carry principles is evaluated as a positive step.

Pre-election delegation members recommend Georgian Parliament to extend terms of effectiveness of Must Carry principles.

As it is said in the report, Must carry principle should be activated before the pre-election period.

“Early enactment of the law will make it possible to solve unforeseen problems arising during the implementation of the law. Also, possibility of continuation of Must Carry policy till the announcement of the election results, should be discussed too”, - the report says.

We will recall you that Georgian Parliament has adopted a bill regarding Must Carry principles with the second reading, with 81 votes.
