Mikheil Saakashvili: European perspective for us will be opened on Vilnius summit

Day News

According to Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia does maximum in the frameworks of Eastern Partnership, because it is a choice of state.

Statement about it was made by the First Person of the state while delivering a speech on the 9th international conference in Batumi.

According to him, European prospect for Georgia will be opened on Vilnius summit.

“Europe is not a pragmatic choice for us. Commonwealth of Independent States does not offer the states to have discussions in normal forms; that is why we do not take it to heart. Also, some other former members want to engage in Eastern Partnership format too. We have not believed that we would have a simplified visa regime for the 2014, but, now, we can get the visa-free regime with the EU this year, as well as the free trade agreement”, - Saakashvili said.
