The 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Moldova was marked

The Georgian Foreign Minister, Grigol Vashadze, and Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Iurie Leanca, recently exchanged letters to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Moldova.

In these letters, the two foreign ministers underlined the importance of friendly Georgian-Moldovan relations, bilateral and multilateral co-operation and of striving for European integration and reaffirmed their governments' mutual support.

The Ministers also underlined the importance of opening a Georgian embassy in Moldova and noted that this will encourage relations between the two countries and promote the development and enhancement of bilateral political, economic and cultural relations.
