Bidzina Ivanishvili will not receive citizenship for six months

Decision about granting citizenship to the leader of “Georgian dream” bidzina Ivanishvili will not be made for at least 6 more months. 

The mentioned issue is considered by the organic law “regarding citizenship”, according to which repeated review of applications and submissions regarding restoration or termination of citizenship is considered only after 6 months after a previous decision.

In addition, according to the presidential decree regarding “the rules of granting citizenship of Georgia to the foreign citizens”, preparation of special report for granting Georgian citizenship to the foreign citizen is not limited in time.
