Parliament chairman, David Baqradze does not
confirm information spread by Russian agencies about telephone conversation of
Georgian and U.S.
Presidents.
As Baqradze told to journalists, according to
his information, such conversation between presidents has not been held.
President’s press service will make further explanations regarding this
topic.
He said, it is important that this information
is not from “CNN”, but from “CNN iReport”, which is an open informational
block, where any person, any witness is able to write anything.
We will recall you that on the CNN iReport the
information was spread as if the telephone conversation between Barack Obama
and Mikheil Saakashvili was held on April 4, at 22:46. According to the
publication author, during the conversation, U.S. president spoke with his
colleague about importance of presidential elections. Based on a reliable
source from State Department, the author said that Mikheil Saakashvili promised
to Barack Obama that the competitive and democratic elections will be held.
