Today the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will consider a draft resolution, where Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions are mentioned as occupied territories. Resolution author believes that the OSCE will finally adopt this strict document, despite the fact that Russia has more “supporters” in this organization than in other international unions.

According to statement of Vano Merabishvili, reforms implemented during the last 8 years allowed the ruling team to increase country’s revenue.

Andreas Mavroianis said, parliamentary elections planned in October should meet international democratic standards. Georgios Papastamkos, another member of the European Parliament, said that Georgian government continues its reforms, and the opposition has attempts of bribing votes.

Rompuy stated that the EU salutes the position of President of Georgia to involve a lot of monitors. It will help them to have “maximally open and fair elections”, - noted the UN president and added that the union will be actively involved in the monitoring process of the upcoming elections.

Expression of support of UN General Assembly to the resolution initiated by Georgia will lead to complications in region – the official statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry states. As it is known, in the resolution, which was supported by 60 countries in the UN General Assembly, issue of safe and dignified return of refugees is considered.

Parliament has accepted new composition of government and its new program – “more benefit to the people”. The legislative body has approved the Government Cabinet with 102 votes against 7. Parliament Speaker, David Bakradze wished success to the government.

As Merabishvili sadi in response to opposition on today’s extraordinary session, President will fulfill his promise and pension in Georgia will become USD 100.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia conveys its appreciation to all states that supported the Resolution on the right of return of the IDPs and refugees.

According to the information of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the visit reaffirms EU’s special interest towards Georgia and demonstrates strong political support of EU towards the country.

Two more hotels will be able to receive guests from today. The hotels “AISI” and “World Palace” have been opened by the Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and the Chairman of Ajara AR Government Levan Varshalomidze today.

Government has presented program of the next four years. It is said there that 6 billion GELs will be allocated for financing pensions, 3 billion GELs will be sent on health insurance and 3 billion on social assistance. 4 billion will be spent for agricultural support, the same amount on education funding.
