The third budget change has been implemented at today’s session of the Government being Gel 153 million instead of 144 million. As noted at the session, the current budget has been increased 40 million as a result of savings and economic changes.

Manjgaladze said that Bacho Akhalaia will be appointed on the position of Interior Minister of Georgia. On the post of Defence Minister Dimitri Shashkin is presented and the Education Ministry will be headed by Khatia Dekanoidze. Dali Khomeriki will replace Koba Subeliani on the position of the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the occupied territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia.

On the question of “Internet.ge” – will leaders of “Georgian dream” take into account recommendations mentioned in the report regarding increasing number of women candidates or not – Maia Panjikidze said, they do not need to take into consideration anyone’s advices.

“I will present the plan, where it will be exactly written what we will do today, tomorrow and in the future. Our main motive will be three principles: employment, rural development and access to health care”, - Merabishvili said.

Due to a flood occurred in Samegrelo, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has suddenly interrupted official visit in the capital of Azerbaijan.

Georgian Parliament has adopted a bill regarding Must Carry principles with the second reading, with 81 votes. According to the amendments, the Must Carry policy obliges the cable TV operators to transmit the public broadcaster and every TV Company, which have license according to the Georgian law “About broadcasting”, in the pre-election period.

In the NDI-published report, the introduction of Must Carry principles is evaluated as a positive step. Pre-election delegation members recommend Georgian Parliament to extend terms of effectiveness of Must Carry principles.

The spring session of the Parliament will be officially closed today with the State anthem. According to the parliament regulations, the spring session opens on the first Tuesday of February and closes on the last Friday of June.
