Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia expresses its deep concern regarding the postponement of the April 24 Gali meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms and regarding the imminent danger of not having the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) participate in the future meetings of the Mechanisms.

Medvedev leaves his post with speeches about Saakashvili and Georgia
Today, Dimitri Medvedev has reiterated once more that Kremlin’s unrealized dream is to see someone else on place of Mikheil Saakashvili, president of Georgia. However, Medvedev, himself, is leaving the president’s post and accordingly, he gave his last interview with this status to Russian federal TV channel. Among other issues he, of course, spoke about Georgia too.

The Georgian Foreign Minister, Grigol Vashadze, met his Albanian counterpart, Mr. Edmond Haxhinasto
According to the information of the Ministry, during the meeting, Grigol Vashadze and Edmond Haxhinasto discussed various issues concerning bilateral and multilateral co-operation between their two countries, focusing on the prospect of further developing economic relations and on possible directions for co-operation within the framework of international organizations.

Vashadze has sent additional invitations of election observers to U.S.
As it is said in the statement spread by the Ministry, the official invitations sent to NDI and IRI emphasize the full readiness of the Georgian side to host the observers from these organizations at the time of their earliest convenience with the aim to facilitate the thorough monitoring of the processes in both the pre-election and election phases.
