According to information of the Justice Minister,
completion of rehabilitation of Telavi and Khvareli in Kakheti on 15-16
September will be a real public holiday. Kakheti residents and its guests will
become participants of a sight. The solemn event will turn into two-day
non-stop theatrical performance, in which anyone can participate.
Renewed Nadikvari Park,
area at Erekle monument, historical street of Cholokhashvili will host a lot of
guests. The festive mood of the guests will be created by the actors of
Movement Theater and circus “Shapito”. The restored Cholokashvili Street will become a place
for walking with a tale heroes.
On Erekle
Square in Telavi and on Public market in Khvareli
people will be able to take part in a wine-making process and to taste grapes
and churchkhelas of Kakheti. In the corners of Kvareli streets the visitors
will be able to create hand-made pottery items with an ancient manner, take
part in rugs knitting process, felt work and creating of local dresses
ornaments.
The event will be finished by well-known group
“Gypsy Kings” young members’ concert and the fabulous firework. The nearby area
of Kvareli fortress will become a place of special performance, where warriors
dressed up in a ethnographic clothes will walk. After a spectacular firework,
singers of the ensemble of Giorgi Ushikashvili - “Lasharela” will perform folk
songs and finally, Sukhishvilis ensemble dancers will dance national
dances.
“List of restored objects in Kakheti is very long;
the rehabilitation works fully covered Telavi and Kvareli. Nadikvari Park
and Erekle monument area are renewed in Telavi, historical look is returned to Cholokashvili Street.
Project of Kvareli fortress rehabilitation is finished too. Modern office of
Justice training center and a hotel “Rooms Hotel” are opened. Houses of Justice
were opened in two cities – Telavi and Kvareli.
Kakheti rehabilitation program was implemented
with a coordination of Strategic Development Agency. The works carried out
within this project were financed by the World Bank. Infrastructural works are
planned in Imereti and Lazica too”, - Ministry of Justice says.
