Tbilisoba is celebrated in the capital city. Traditional solemn events will be hold in the old part of Tbilisi.  

As the Tbilisi City Hall representatives say, “Tbilisoba 2012” will be full with solemn events, which will take place in the old parts of the city and its nearby area. 

Traditionally, winepresses will be installed on the Meidan. Rafts will be arranged. Concert of a folk ensemble is planned in Abastumani, fruit and tea festivals, auto-shows, various sports activities, young poets evening and the award ceremony of the literary contest “Gala” will take place on this holiday.   

The solemn event will be finished with a gala concert on Europe Square on October 7.
