Special announcement of TV-company “Imedi”

TV-company “Imedi” changes its format. In this regard, the TV-company released a special statement.  

“The TV Company changes its format and starts moving to informational format, which will provide the society with news all day long. The viewers will be offered various political and social programs and talk shows, where different political parties will be presented too. 

We hope that the new government will proceed with the democratic heritage left by the previous government and will not prevent to the work of free media and will not try to restrict freedom of speech”, - is said in the statement.      

The announcement says that the last years’ attempts to build democratic Georgia have been successful. 

“We, all the journalists and employees of “Imedi”, as well as, all the citizens of Georgia have the basis for being proved of our democratic attainment. Therefore, we believe that the main thing today is to protect and further develop the attained democracy”, - is said in the statement.
