June 1 is International Children’s Day

Today, International Children’s Day is celebrated. This Day was established by the Women’s International Democratic Federation in November, 1949.

From 1950, Children’s Day is celebrated annually on June 1, throughout the world. Its aim is to mobilize the world’s public opinion around protection of children from the dangers of another war and also, around taking care of their health and democratic education-development. 

In connection with this day, several events are scheduled in Tbilisi, including a charity event, which will be held in Dusheti boarding house of disabled. 

The action is organized by administration and Students’ Government of Technical University, together with youth from Dusheti.
