According to the assessment of Georgian Culture and Monument Protection Minister, Nika Rurua, decision made by the occupation regime regarding rehabilitation of Likhni Church in Gudauta is barbarism and continuation of ethnic cleansing.

As Rurua said before the session started, the mentioned fact will be followed by the response from Georgian side.

“The mentioned fact is continuation of the policy, with which we have to deal already for many years and the goal of which is to damage the initial image of Georgian cultural monuments and delete Georgian trace. This is continuation of the ethnic cleansings”, - Rurua said.

We will recall you that there are reports that accelerated rehabilitation works of Likhni X century Church will be carried out in Gudauta.
