Consideration of the report – “The war between Georgia and Russia: the humanitarian situation in the war-affected areas” in the European Council Parliamentary Assembly is postponed to January 2013.  “Itar-tass” was informed about it by the Assembly Speaker Tina Acketoft.

“My report will be discussed at the Parliamentary Assembly’s January session. First of all this is connected to the parliamentary elections in Georgia scheduled in October”, - she said.

In addition, Acketoft said, the head of the Russian delegation at the Assembly and Duma international affairs committee Chairman Alexei Pushkov promised her to do his best to help her in organization of the visit to Tskhinvali.

As the agency “Res” reports, the Assembly Speaker will visit the region on July 3.
