During a repair-restoration
works that were carried out by utility service in a new district of Sokhumi, a
tomb of 90-ies from war times was found. The tomb is in vicinity to the stairs,
which connects the new district with a Gumista region – “Aspnispres”
reports.
Local committee of persons lost without trace, found out that there
were buried several residents of new district, who died in 1993 with a natural
death.
According to preliminary data, Greek Giorgi Vakhanelov, Georgian
Tengiz Rusia and several other persons, whose surnames are unknown, are among
buried.
Also, it was ascertained that as soon as the
war was over, approximately, in October-November of 1993 few bodies were taken
out from this place. Commission underlines that among buried are only
civilians.
