Zaza Gorozia, Minister of Agriculture attended wheat
harvesting in village Metekhi, Kaspi Municipality.
At 34 ha area plot,
owned by Tamaz Gejadze, local farmer, “Flamura” species of wheat is farmed.
Productivity of “Flamura” is much higher than that of Georgian and Russian
wheat and yields 3 tons of cereals per ha.
Harvest is conducted with new machinery obtained in
frameworks of Agricultural Machinery Renovation Program of the Ministry of
Agriculture. With the mentioned machineries farmers have opportunity to take
harvest in a minimal time with minimal losses.
