David Rusishvili was sentenced to 21 years imprisonment

The third Juror proceeding of criminal case is ended in the Tbilisi City Court. Twelve jurors made a decision and declared David Rusishvili guilty for murder of Zurab Tarkashvili in aggravated circumstances on October 17, 2011 and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.     

He was sentenced 21 years imprisonment.

Rusishvili was declared guilty by 9 votes against 3.

The proceedings on mentioned case were started on June 4, 2012, in Tbilisi City Court and were lead by Judge Vaja Pukhashvili. 8 trials were held with participation of jurors and 20 witnesses were interrogated. The defendant used his legal right to remain silent.

We will recall you that on October 17, 2011, fire against Zurab Tarkashvili was opened by Iveri Gogberashvili, Irakli Agladze and David Rusishvili simultaneously. Tarkashvili had 11 wounds inflicted, including three control shots in the head area.
