Investigation has been launched in connection with the incident occurred in Karaleti

The Internal Affairs Ministry of Georgia is currently conducting identification activities of those involved in an incident occurred in the village Karaleti. It is said in the statement released by the Ministry.

“On 12th June 2012, an incident took place in the village of Karaleti. Verbal insults between the activists of the political party “Georgian Dream" and their opponents escalated into the clashes. Police is currently conducting identification activities of those involved in the above mentioned incident.

Therefore, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia calls for maximal discreetness; Action of each citizen has to be within the legal frames.” – is said in the statement.

According to reports, visit of members of the coalition “Georgian dream” in the village Karaleti escalated into the clashes. Supporters of the coalition and refugees beat each-other because of different political views. Several people were injured.
