Two men died of
suspected drug overdoses, nine people were stabbed and more than 30 arrests
were made at the infamous Swedish House Mafia gig on July 7.
In a damning report
into the bloodbath, Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan slammed MCD over a
litany of failures — including inappropriate security measures and having an
unsuitable ‘Event Control Centre’.
The report, published last week, also
concluded the venue was unsuitable for ‘electric music’.
But MCD believe gardai should take
responsibility for the horror show insisting cops chose the number of police
for the event, reviewed the security arrangements, knew it was electric music
and signed off on the gig.
