Georgian military Valerian Khujadze died in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, while patrolling, Georgian military Valerian Khujadze died from wounds received after explosion of enemy’s handmade mine. 

Sergeant Khujadze, member of the 31 Battalion, was serving in Helmand province, in frameworks of ISAF peacekeeping mission. 

Georgian Ministry of Defense regrets the death of Sergeant Valerian Khujadze.

Khujadze had served in Georgian armed forces since 2004. He was participating in Iraq peacekeeping mission. In 2011 Khujadze received a medal for participating in peacekeeping operation.
