The United States 6-men congressional delegation is paying a two-day visit to Georgia. The members of delegation headed by Congressman Bill Shuster have been hosted at Defence Ministry today. Deputy Defence Minister Nodar Kharshiladze briefed the US officials on the ongoing defence reforms.

Discussions concerned the US-Georgia cooperation in defence area, Georgia`s contribution to the ISAF operation and regional security environment.

Following the meeting, American congressmen visited National Training Centre "Krtsanisi" and attended demonstrative exercises. The Georgian military servicemen are going through a pre-deployment training course for participation in the Afghan mission in the Training Centre.
