Georgia meets the third day of the Olympic Games with a hope
of getting another medal again. This time, our main hope - after the triumph of
Lasha Shavdatuashvili – is his teammate, 22-years old Nugzar Tatalashvili in 73
kg weight category. His first rival will be South Korean Chun Van.
The head coach of the Georgian
team, Peter Zaizenbacher, believes that the team is in a good shape and every
judoist is able to succeed and it was confirmed by the gold medal of Lasha
Shavdatuashvili: “Lasha’s success is evidence that the whole team is in a good
shape and each of them has a chance to win. It was one of the most important
and happy days in my life”, - Zaizenbacher said.
From Georgian delegation
another Georgian, archer Christine Esebua will continue the tournament, who,
after passing the qualification round, will try to go further than 1/32, where
her rival for getting to the 1/16 final, will be Chilean Denise Van
Lamoeni.
